What kind of evil crap is this? Instead of "enemy combatants", now Senators McCain and Lieberman have a bill that would allow the military to detain U.S. citizens without trial indefinitely. No Miranda rights, no lawyers ... this bill just seems to extend the recent "un-person with no rights" category of "enemy combatant" to Americans.
According to this article by Paul Joseph Watson, "an individual doesn’t even have to pose a threat to be snatched, detained and interrogated – they can merely be deemed to be of 'potential intelligence value' or come under the vague and sweeping mandate of 'such other matters as the President considers appropriate'."
You call this legislation? Aren't Lieberman and McCain familiar with the Bill of Rights??
