Al Qaeda

When you read or hear news pertaining to "Al Qaeda," please keep former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook's words in mind:

"The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaida. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the 'devil' only in order to drive the TV watcher to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the US . . ."

Disposable Soldiers

Imagine being wounded in combat and being told "it's all in your head, this is a pre-existing Personality Disorder, and we're sending you to solitary confinement (er..."suicide watch") where you'll be sleep-deprived to make sure you really lose it ... unless you sign these papers that forfeit your benefits."

Don't think it can happen here? Sorry to say, this appears to be a systematic evil scheme employed by the Pentagon to rip off our veterans: http://www.thenation.com/doc/20100426/kors

Who killed John O'Neill?

In one of the seemingly hundreds of amazing "coincidences" circling the events of Sept. 11, 2001, America's top expert on Osama bin Laden was killed on his second day of the job -- as head of security at the World Trade Center. His name was John O'Neill.

Only two weeks before, Mr. O'Neill had quit his job as deputy director at the FBI. He was reportedly disgusted with the Bush administration blocking his investigations of bin Laden. He actually went public with this information -- he told french authors Charles Brisard and Guillaume Dasquie (who wrote the book Forbidden Truth) "The main obstacles to investigate Islamic terrorism were US oil corporate interests, and the role played by Saudi Arabia in it."

So, who hired O'Neill to head security at the twin towers? A guy named Jerome Hauer -- the Managing Director of Kroll Associates. I'll tell you something else about Mr. Hauer. He was also a national security advisor with the National Institute of Health, and on Sept. 11, 2001 he advised the White House to take Cipro, a drug that fights anthrax.

Just who has ties to Kroll Associates and Jerome Hauer? To find out, I highly recommend the docudrama "Who killed John O'Neill?" If you can get past the painfully self-indulgent first 15 minutes or so, the facts start coming fast and furious and what began as a bad art film morphs into one of the best "follow the money" investigations of what really happened on Sept. 11, 2001. You'll want your notebook with you because the writer names names and he's done his homework.

Nasty stuff about US torture comes to light

First off, US Recants Claims on "High-Value" Detainee Abu Zubaydah

"He was the first detainee captured after 9/11 who was subjected to nearly a dozen brutal torture techniques, which included waterboarding, and was the catalyst, the public has been told, behind the Bush administration's "enhanced interrogation" program. Former Vice President Dick Cheney has publicly admitted that personally approved of Zubaydah's waterboarding.

"His torture was videotaped and the tapes later destroyed. The destruction of 90 videotapes of his interrogations is the focus of a high-level criminal investigation being conducted by John Durham, a federal prosecutor appointed special counsel in 2008 by then-Attorney General Michael Mukasey."

... So, Dick Cheney personally approved of the torture of a guy who, according to the article, the government now admits "did not have 'any direct role in or advance knowledge of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001,' and was neither a 'member' of al-Qaeda nor 'formally' identified with the terrorist organization. The government now claims Zubaydah is being detained based on his 'actions' as an 'affiliate' of al-Qaeda."

This man was waterboarded 83 times. I guess I'd confess to being al-Qaeda if I was tortured like that, too. This is how we got evidence about 9-11 terror suspects. Now take a look at this article from the London Times:

George W. Bush 'knew Guantanamo prisoners were innocent'

This accusation was made by Lawrence Wilkerson, a top aide to Colin Powell, who was then Secretary of State. Do we need any clearer evidence that Bush and Cheney are war criminals that tortured people they knew were innocent to prop up bogus claims about 9-11 and support their push for war with Iraq? As one guy on 9-11 blogger commented, "This isn’t just evil. This is James Bond super villain evil."

There is no right or left, only right and wrong.

Asking me if I'm a Democrat or a Republican is like asking a vegan how she likes her eggs -- do I prefer my Fascism slick and sneaky or hard-boiled and in my face?

Watching political punditry on the mainstream news is like watching a Punch and Judy puppet show. We're being distracted by a couple of annoying arguing puppets, who are really controlled by the right and left hands of the same guy, while his partner weaves through the crowd to pick our pockets.

One thing I wish Americans would wake up to is the fact that our two major parties are being run by the same guys, and things are set up for us to think that we have a choice, when really it's not much of a choice at all. It should be clear by now that though Obama promised to end the war and close down Guantanamo, Gitmo is still open for business and we have even more troops assigned to Afghanistan. Sure, he managed to pass a health care reform bill, but with control of the house, senate and executive you'd think the Democrats could have done away with the parasitical insurance companies. Instead, they practically let the insurance companies write the bill -- making themselves mandatory.

Let's face it, there is no true voice for progressives within the Democratic party, just as there is no true voice for real conservatism within the Republican party. Both parties are corrupt to the core with corporate interests. If we're going to solve this mess our country's in, we're going to have to find a way to introduce real choice into our political system -- because choosing between Democrat and Republican is like choosing between Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
